BRADLEY ACADEMY MUSEUM &
CULTURAL CENTER - Murfreesboro, TN
The Museum stands two-stories high with an abundance of historical information. Bradley Academy Museum was once used as a school for ‘white males only’. Our 11th President of the United States, James K. Polk, was educated here. It became the stepping-stone of education for African Americans many years later. The Bradley Academy Museum & Cultural Center is proud to be a part of Murfreesboro history as well as African American history. The exhibits displayed at our facility are: The Heritage Classroom; The Century of Change; The Bradley/Holloway Exhibit; The Civil War Exhibit; and The Underground Railroad Exhibit.
