The Governor Henry Lippitt House Museum, completed in 1865 for textile merchant Henry Lippitt, is an exceptional testament to local craftsman of the time.  Known for its amazing faux painted surfaces and largely intact collection of original furnishings, this extraordinary house continues to amaze visitors 146 years later.
