AVERASBORO BATTLEFIELD MUSEUM - Dunn, NC

The Averasboro Battlefield Museum is located on the battlefield where the next to last battle of the Civil War was held. The Battle of Averasboro occurred on March 15-16, 1865. The museum contains many artifacts along with various media interpretations of the battle. Admission to the museum is free. A gift shop which has available for purchase many books, Civil War materials, and outstanding gift choices including North Carolina's own Seagrove pottery. Hours of operation are Tuesday-Saturday, 10 AM-4 PM. Sundays, 1-4 PM.
