AVERASBORO BATTLEFIELD MUSEUM

The Averasboro Battlefield Museum is located on the battlefield where the next to last battle of the Civil War was held. The Battle of Averasboro occurred on March 15-16, 1865. The museum contains many artifacts along with various media interpretations of the battle. Admission to the museum is free. A gift shop which has available for purchase many books, Civil War materials, and outstanding gift choices including North Carolina's own Seagrove pottery. Hours of operation are Tuesday-Saturday, 10 p.m.-4 p.m. Sundays, 1-4 p.m.
